Ontario Math Viewer maps the Ontario mathematics curriculum from Grade 1 to
Grade 12 as one connected picture, so you can see what any skill builds on and
where it leads. It works entirely offline and needs no account.
I read every message and aim to
reply within a few days.
Reporting a problem
So it can be tracked down quickly, it helps to include:
Your device and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
The app version, shown on the App Store listing
What you were doing when it happened, and what you expected instead
A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see
Common questions
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes — completely. The whole curriculum ships inside the app, and it never
connects to anything.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login, and nothing to set up.
How do I see the introduction again?
Press and hold the Reset button in the toolbar.
Several connection lines overlap and I can't tell which is which.
Tap a line to single it out — it brightens while the others recede. Tap the
same spot again to step to the next line overlapping it, and again to clear.
Further back along the lines, where they have fanned apart, a tap is more
precise than right at the skill they all arrive at.
What do the three streams do?
University, College and Workplace change which Grade 9–12 courses and
pathways are shown. Grades 1–8 are common to all three.
Can I print or share a skill?
Yes. Open a skill and use the share button in its panel to export a
one-page summary you can print, save, or send.
Please email me with the skill name and grade. Accuracy matters more than
anything else in this app, and corrections are always welcome.
Privacy Policy
Ontario Math Viewer does not collect, transmit, or share any personal
information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no
tracking, and no third-party SDKs of any kind.
Data we collect
None. The app has no server, makes no network requests, and sends nothing
anywhere. It works entirely offline, and the full curriculum dataset ships
inside the app itself.
Data stored on your device
So the app can pick up where you left off, it saves a small amount of
information locally on your device only:
Your last map position and zoom level
The skill you last selected, and the pathway stream you chose
Whether you have seen the introduction
How long you have used the app, so it knows when it may ask for a rating
This information never leaves your device. It is not readable by me or by
anyone else, and it is deleted when you delete the app.
Children
The app is safe for use by students of any age. Because it collects no data
at all, it collects none from children either.
Ratings
The app may occasionally ask you to rate it using Apple's standard prompt.
Apple handles that entirely; I receive no personal information from it, and you
can decline.
Sharing a skill
If you choose to export or share a skill's details, the file is created on
your device and handed to the share sheet you picked. Where it goes from there
is your choice, and the app plays no further part in it.
